Sponsor Spotlight July: Windlesham Pram Race

This month we'd like to shine a spotlight on one of our valued supporters, the Windlesham Pram Race charity.

Many of you will know the Boxing Day Pram Race as one of Windlesham's most popular annual traditions. Since the very first race in 1966, the event has brought together teams from across the area to compete in imaginative fancy dress costumes and creatively engineered prams, all while raising money for local good causes.

Run by a dedicated committee of volunteers, the charity has supported numerous organisations throughout the community over the years, including the Field of Remembrance, Quest RDA, local Beaver and Scout groups, Harper Asprey and many others.

We are particularly grateful that the Windlesham Pram Race charity has chosen to support Windlesham Film Club with financial donations in both 2025 and 2026. Their generosity has helped us continue to provide affordable community cinema for local residents and invest in the future growth of the club.

As a volunteer-run organisation ourselves, we know just how important community support can be. The Pram Race embodies everything that makes village life special: bringing people together, creating lasting memories and raising funds that directly benefit local groups and charities.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved with organising the Windlesham Pram Race and to all those who take part each Boxing Day. Your support helps organisations like ours continue to thrive.
