October Film Night: A Gothic Classic Reimagined

As the nights draw in and Halloween approaches, our October film could hardly be more perfectly timed.

On Friday 23 October, Windlesham Film Club presents The Bride! - an imaginative new take on the Frankenstein legend from writer and director Maggie Gyllenhaal.

This striking new film transforms a literary classic into something fresh and unexpected. Set in 1930s Chicago, it combines romance, crime, music, dark comedy and spectacular visuals to create one of the most original films of the year.

Leading the cast are Jessie Buckley, whose fearless performance as the newly created Bride has attracted widespread acclaim, and Christian Bale as a lonely Frankenstein searching for connection in an unforgiving world.
